Today I am going to talk a little bit more about this SERP. What it is, how it has changed over the years and which features you will encounter. Hi my name is Thijs van Hal and welcome to this brand new video on Pure's channel. Today I'm going to talk a little bit more about the SERP. What it is, how it has changed over the years and which features you will encounter. What is the SERP? As I said at the beginning, the SERP stands for Search Engine Results Page.
Freely translated into Dutch, that is a search engine results page. Literally what you see after you have done a search in, for example, Google, Bing or one of the other countless you phone number list are search engines. In this video we discuss the SERP of Google, the most used search engine in the Netherlands. into two categories, the paid results and the organic results. The organic results is something that Google started with. Google's goal was to provide a search engine where users worldwide could search anything and find the top ten results from all pages worldwide. To keep the search engine and many other Google products free, Google runs ads within all their products, including within the SERP.
You can see these paid results at the top of the page, marked with a bold word 'ad' before the url. There are two different ads that you can see in the SERP, the text ads and the shopping ads. Take the keyword "shoes," for example, and you'll see up to four different ads at the top of the SERP. These are marked by the closed word 'advertisement' before the url. Not only do you see text advertisements, for example, search for shoes and you will also see a box appearing on the right side with various shopping advertisements for shoes.
